NUTRITION

Riberries have high levels of anthocyanins which are the purple red and blue pigments and as such are an important component of the nutritive content of fruits.

It is these anthocyanins which are potent antioxidants and riberries contain high levels of these free radical scavenging agents. The levels are nearly 3 times higher than those contained in the blueberry which is accepted as the world standard for measuring anthocyanin levels.

Riberries also contain high levels of folate, also known as vitamin B-12 which is required for healthy growth and development and is essential during early pregnancy for healthy development of babies.

Calcium is another very useful nutrient found in riberries.
